Simon is a corporate lawyer with over 40 years’ experience. He trained, and was for 30 years a partner, at a major global law firm. Based in the City of London, his work included leading and working on a wide range of major projects, including M&A, joint ventures and IPOs and other equity and debt security issues, in many jurisdictions, particularly in relation to natural resources and emerging markets. He remains involved in various emerging market initiatives.

At Haddletons, Simon works on a wide range of corporate transactions, particularly share and business M&A, ownership structuring and subscription, shareholder and partnership agreements.

He is a member of the Legal Advisory Council, and chairman of the Legal Services Board, at the Astana International Financial Centre in Kazakhstan and he has a consultancy with a Kazakh law firm in relation to international transactions.

In addition to his legal work, Simon is an advisor to the Surrey Community Foundation and is involved with a range of other charities as a trustee or hands-on volunteer. His other interests include gardening and property maintenance, running and cycling.
